I really liked this book. I was expecting it to be just full smut, but it was actually really romantic. The action starts off right away, but if you were hoping for something more female-centric, you’re going to have to wait; nobody touches her pussy until well after the 50% mark. Still, I didn’t realize giving handjobs to minotaurs had such erotic potential!
Really, it’s a story about growing up. Violet is in her mid-twenties, has an expensive graduate degree, and can’t get a job. She’s down to either moving back in with her parents or trying out a position at Morning Glory – and she decides the latter. Flustered and shocked at first, she eventually figures out that it’s just a job, and while she won’t exactly tell her parents what she’s doing, it’s enough to start paying off her maxed out credit cards. And then – this is the part I really wasn’t expecting, somehow – she falls for one of her clients. It’s very taboo.
The Steamy Stuff – Spoilers!
This is a lot of minotaur handjobs. Like, so many. Violet basically works at a sperm bank – minotaur semen has great pharmaceutical properties, it turns out – manually collecting the samples. The descriptions are pretty good, and the author does a good job of making it not super repetitive, but if you don’t want to read about jacking dudes off, this definitely isn’t the book for you. They do eventually get down to some other business, in the last quarter or so of the book. There’s a lot of size play, but nothing really kinky outside of that.
